Linda M. Morse was first exposed to yoga while at modern dance classes in college - the love of Yoga began! Years later in jazz classes, the spark was again ignited and her yogic journey reached full launch mode when her younger sister encouraged her to attend an intro to yoga program, saying "this is really for you!" Her sister was right on, and Linda's love of Yoga was in full flight. Always a student first, Linda's journey eventually led her to teaching.

Linda trained through the Kripalu Center in MA for her 200hr and for her 500hr certification as a professional level yoga teacher. She is qualified through Yoga Alliance to teach students to become yoga teachers through the 500hr level as an E-RYT500. Some of her certifications for teaching include Pranayama (breath techniques), Meditation, Chakras, Cardiac Rehab and Cancer Support. She is insured and trained in CPR. Her continuing education includes several four day Omega Center conferences in Miami with national presenters, ten day Vipassana meditation program, and direct study with national yogis.

Spending her childhood and many adult years in RI, a great love of the ocean and nature was fundamental. Her career has included staying at home with children while they were small, and doing volunteer work for non profits. She has worked as a mental health counselor, sales with a major computer industry, and managed an advertising department for a large retail chain.

While living for eleven years in FL, she designed and built a 3,000sq. ft. yoga studio on two plus acres in Melbourne, FL. The Yoga Center was home to 12-15 teachers offering to the community a range of practice from vinyasa to gentle, as well as tai chi, qigong, belly dancing, pilates, meditation, yin, kids, prenatal, MELT, chair, and cancer support yoga. The mission statement for the Yoga Center was "to be a center of learning, offering yoga to everyBODY within the community … revitalizing everyBODY and mind and spirit."

During the four years that the Yoga Center was in business, she created BEAM Yoga®, a 200hr. Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance as an approach to the practice of yoga utilizing Breath, Energy, Alignment and Movement. It was through the Yoga Center's very popular six week Intro to Yoga program that Linda realized that a more in depth look at yoga postures would be valuable for the experienced student. This approach became the basis for her certified Yoga Teacher Training program. She trained and certified five Yoga Teacher Training programs in FL. She has presented many workshops, taught private classes, presented at corporate health fairs, lunch and learn programs, and taught on-site classes.

Linda has 'harvested' her hair for over 12 years for Locks of Love. You may notice the DVDs have long hair, but short on the covers. A yogic observation that life is always changing!

Linda's deep meditative approach in teaching, along with her subtle humor, blends to hold sacred and safe space to guide her students along their own personal journeys.

C. Brett Morse has spent his entire business life in pharmaceutical sales with major corporations. Now retired, he looks back on years of calling on physicians and their offices with great enjoyment. Seeking out the yoga path himself, he was certified at the 200hr. level with the Kripalu Center in the Berkshire mountains of MA. His greatest joy is offering yoga to students of all ages who are new to the practice. He has taught seniors, chair yoga, gentle classes and intro to yoga programs. He has presented at health fairs, lunch and learns, and taught classes on site at major corporations. Brett assists with the Yoga Teacher Training program, and teaches the segment on Ethics. His light heartedness and humor is contagious!

Linda and Brett have transitioned to the Asheville, NC area and have felt "called to the mountains." The unbelievable beauty of the area is breath taking! … and isn't yoga all about being "in the breath!"

Their Siamese cats were 'hired on' as pet therapy over the years, and have been thankfully holding up their end. They are also continuously being inspired by their grandchildren!
