They work to prevent slavery in high risk communities such as red light and refugee communities, by creating jobs for adults and offering education to children. They import and sell beautiful handicraft products made by survivors of slavery and persons at risk of being trafficked into slavery at their website www.madebysurvivors.com. If you can't come to the event please remember to shop for gifts or for yourself at their website. See more on YouTube.com at http://www.youtube.com/user/MadeBySurvivors.

Yin Yoga Workshop

Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the body – the ligaments, bones, and joints - that are that are not normally exercised in a more active asana practice. With a focus on the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, this workshop is suitable for almost all levels of students. It is a perfect complement to a muscular (yang) yoga practice. Initially this style of yoga can seem quite passive or soft, but a yin practice is actually quite challenging due to the long duration of some poses (3-5 mins), and is a great way to prepare the body for a meditation practice. Yin Yoga is a great way to balance your yoga practice and find the softer side of yoga. This is not a restorative yoga, so if you have an injury please allow your muscles time to heal before continuing your yoga practice. Suitable for all levels of fitness. Presented by Dawn Burkett.
